How to Improve Your Eyesight – Eating Habits

Our modern diet is pretty rough – the rate at which we are consuming processed and unnatural foods is growing exponentially, and alongside with the myriad of health problems it’s causing (obesity is at an all time high, heart disease is shooting through the roof, etc) our vision is taking a big hit as well.
There is something you can do though to take back your body (and eyes in particular) overall health through our diets. Here are a couple of tips one things to eat and supplement with that can give you an almost instant boost in eye health.
Lettuce and Carrots are wonder vegetables
Look out carrots – lettuce is one of the best foods you can eat to improve your eyesight. It’s very cost effective, packed with minerals and nutrients that boost vision and reduce eye strain, and it has a flavor profile that goes with a lot of other foods and meals. You can eat it in a salad or even juice it – just make sure you’re getting some lettuce into your daily diet.
But don’t sleep on carrots either – they are completely loaded with Vitamin A, which is essential to proper eye health. Make sure that you’re getting some carrots into your daily meals or make them a healthy snack!Peanuts and Raisins
Surprisingly these little hand snacks are also completely loaded with all of the material your body needs to boost vision and repair damage – and they can be pretty tasty. A handful a day will give you a gigantic boost in the health department, and won’t slow down any diet programs you may be on for other reasons. Obviously discard this tip if you’re allergic, but if you aren’t I would definitely recommend adding some of these to your daily intake.
